Mia is the game where your friends look you straight in the eye and you keep lying anyway.
You roll two dice, face down. You are the only one who looks. Then you name a value out loud that is higher than what the last player said. Or you say you have higher when you do not.
The next player believes you and rolls, or does not believe you and opens the cup. Whoever turns out to be wrong loses a life.
Three ways to play, from bare to full
Just the cup. The app opens here. Two dice, your hand on the screen to look, and pass it on. No names, no lives, no settings. You keep score with beer mats, the way you always did.
You keep score. The phone is the cup plus the scoreboard. Roll, pass, open. You decide yourselves who loses a life.
The app keeps score. You tap what you claim. The app knows what was really there and works out who was wrong. No arguing about what was on the table or what was actually said.
The rules are in there
Mia is two and one, and it beats everything. Then the doubles from 600 down to 100, then the rest from 65 down to 31. Once somebody says Mia there is nothing higher to say, so you have to call. When the app keeps score, a real Mia costs two lives.
Selling yourself short is allowed: say 54 while holding 600 and your claim still holds.
With a scoreboard there is no peeking under the cup. Lifting it is calling. Whoever passes it on is betting that the last player told the truth, and that bet is the whole game.
Shake the phone to roll, or tap. With sound and haptics, both switchable.
Two to ten players, one phone passed around. Three to six lives, your choice, or everyone rolls for their own.
No account, no ads, no purchases, and it works without an internet connection. Dutch, English and Spanish. Works on iPhone and iPad.
